Trout Trip on Lower Illinois River
(Instructional trip, perfect for the beginner.)
Fishing for trout on the Lower Illinois River can be fun if you know the
right techniques. Join me for a wade-fishing trip that includes many of the
fundamentals of the trout school I teach. Tie proper Knots, Selecting Equipment,
Reel Set-up, Casting, Favorite Flies Selection and Wading Safety.
At least half of the trip will include the principals of fishing with Nymphs,
fishing Dry Flies and fishing Streamers. As many have, you may catch your first
Lower Illinois River Trout while on this instructional trip.
Base Price for this day trip is $125.00. This includes flies and rods if needed. Arrangements to include one or more of your friends
can be made.

Small-mouth Bass Trip
Fly-Fishing for Small mouth Bass can be a wonderful experience. Fishing and
floating the lower Ozarks can take place from spring until winter sets in. Some
of the best fishing can take place mid-summer during the "aluminum
hatch". (That is when all the tourist are floating but the
fish don't mind the traffic.) My personal favorite time is Fall.
Small-mouth Bass, Kentucky Bass, Rock Bass and
sometimes Sand Bass can all be had on the same water. At present On The Fly is
offering trips on two local rivers:
Upper
Illinois River
Baron
Fork
Base Price for a day trip is $150.00. This includes canoe, pop, water and you
will fish with my favorite flies. I can provide all that is needed for a memorable
trip. Lunch can be arranged. I will take care of all the gear and provide rods if needed.
Bring a friend and float by raft. for an extra $50.00. Two sometimes is more
fun that one. Plenty for room for your fishing buddy. Wife's, girlfriends and
kids encouraged to come along.
