Duane is a distinguished Arkansas
flyfishing guide with over twenty years experience. He is a Federation of
Flyfishers Certificated Instructor, the Coach for the U S Youth Flyfishing
International Team and Arkansas's only Master Angler using only a fly rod.
He has been featured in many publications and has been featured on ESPN,
Arkansas Outdoors, Arklahoma Outdoors and many others.

Duane Hada has been fly tying and fly-fishing since
age 9. Throughout the years, he has become one of Arkansas' most noted and
respected fly tiers and fly fishers. Duane's superb artistic talents carry over
into his fly tying skills and help him create patterns that incorporate not only
accuracy and realism but also great fish appeal. As a guide, Duane tests his
patterns almost daily and constantly improves them to consistently catch fish.
In addition to having taught many individuals and club groups, Duane has taught
fly tying and fly-fishing through several college and university courses and in
conjunction with the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. He also is a Federation
of Fly Fishers Certified Casting Instructor who regularly conducts casting and
tying clinics.
A recipient of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission's "Master Angler
Award," he is the first and only person to date to catch all qualifying
fish on fly tackle. Duane is a regular guest on regional television programs
such as "Arklahoma Outdoors" and "Arkansas Outdoors" and has
also been guest fly fisher on "Fly Fishing America" and Jerry McKinnis'
"The Fishin' Hole" which appears nationally on ESPN. But perhaps his
biggest honor was becoming a coach for the US Jr. Olympic Fly Fishing Team,
which brought home a Silver Medal from Wales in 1998.
Duane's angling adventures have allowed him to catch (and release) a variety of
species at many destinations, including trophy rainbows and Salmon in Alaska,
tarpon and permit in the Florida Keys, redfish and "specks" in the
Gulf of Mexico, and exotic bonefish and trevally in the waters off Christmas
Island. Although he has experienced spectacular catches at Glamorous
destinations, he still is at home and equally happy when he guides on the
Arkansas tail waters, and wild Smallmouth bass streams that were his boyhood
haunts where he learned to fish and polish his skills. Duane has gained valuable
insight and knowledge from his varied fishing experiences and has added a
greater dimension to his already extensive fly tying and fly-fishing talents. In
addition to booking frequent trips for trout and Smallmouth in Arkansas, Duane
puts together saltwater excursions to several locations for bonefish, tarpon,
and permit and can arrange lodging at local resorts and lodges or for private
cabins near the water.
